Dance Arts is located in Covington and is dedicated to providing the highest quality dance instruction in the Southeast area. We are currently accepting students ages 3 through adult, beginners to advanced. Located just minutes south of Covington Square, we offer programs in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop and Creative Movement (preschool age)as well as competitive and non competitive performance opportunities. Our studio features a two room, 2000 square foot facility with professional sprung flooring and Harlequin surface.
The goal of Dance Arts is to create an inspirational atmosphere for students where they can be encouraged and challenged. Our mission is to educate, motivate and help develop each dancer to their fullest potential, within a friendly and supportive environment.

 | Annette Lago, founder and director of Dance Arts, has studied dance for over two decades. She graduated with a BFA in Dance from the University of Washington in 1995, and has been teaching Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical and Hip Hop to students of all age/ability levels for the past eleven years.
In 1999, Annette founded the Dance Arts Performing Company. The team performs her choreography at local schools, retirement homes and festivals such as the Puyallup Fair, Maple Valley Days and Renton River Days, and has won numerous awards at regional dance competitions.
Annette's philosophy is that the best teachers are always students themselves. She continues to take regular classes as well as attend conventions and workshops including DEA, DMA, Tremaine, LA Dance Force, and PNB's annual instructor training seminar. | | |  | Corinne Jacobson is a Seattle area native and graduate of the British Dancing Academy(completing all R.A.D. and I.T.S.D. exams). Corrinne received additional training from the Joffrey Ballet. Her performing credits include work with renowned liturgical dancer Betsy Beckman, the Radost Company, the Nutcracker Ball, and with the Eastside Moving Company where she also served as choreographer.
Corinne has been teaching ballet, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop to children of all ages for the past nine years at various elementary schools through the Eastside Enrichment Program, and for Dance Arts. She has received numerous awards for her choreography at local dance competitions and also choreographs and performs liturgical dance at her church. | | |  | Jessica Star Andrews is a graduate of the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts in both Dance and English. Her training includes ballet, jazz, tap, modern, hip hop, gymnastics, breakdancing, yoga, and pilates. Jessica has been certified in creative dance education from Anne Gilbert's Dance Teacher Training Institute. She has also performed and choreographed for Enertia Dance Company in Seattle.
Jessica loves teaching children of all ages. She has extensive experience with students as young as 10 months old (parent/child) through adult. She loves to fuse technique and creativity in her classroom. | | |  | April Torneby is a second year student at Cornish College of the Arts where she is working towards her Bachelor of Arts in Dance. Her training includes ballet, modern, jazz, hip hop, and Lyrical. April was a member of the Dance Arts competition team for 4 years, and won numerous awards along with her teammates. She was also a member of the Tahoma High School Dance Team for three years and served as Junior Captain in 2004/2005 and Captain in 2005/2006. April was awarded top dancer and received a scholarship in 2005 from Elite Dance Camp held in Seattle, Washington.
April is back by popular demand for her second year teaching at Dance Arts. She inspires students with her fun and encouraging teaching style. | | |
