The Dance Arts Competition Team is comprised of our most dedicated and elite dancers. Students are selected by audition and practice approximately three days a week. Once our performance season begins in January, the team will either compete or perform twice per month through June. Past performances include: Starbound, Starlight, Rainbow, Spotlight, and International Dance Challenge Competitions; The Puyallup Fair, Renton River Days, Maple Valley Days, Covington Days, Shopping Malls, Schools, and Retirement Centers. We also attend a convention and participate in one out of town competition.  This is a great opportunity for students who love to dance and want to improve there skills through extra classes, performances and competition.

Competition Team Requirements & Information:

A detailed contract will be distributed within the studio a month prior to auditions. The contract must be filled out and signed by both parent and student and turned in to the studio on or before (TBA) in order to audition. Please contact the studio if you would like to have a copy of the contract sent to you.

Audition Attire

Please arrive ready to dance - hair in bun and wearing leotard/tights/jazz pants, and ballet or jazz shoes. Hip hop students where comfortable clothes you can move in and clean sneakers.

Audition Procedure

- Students will receive a number to pin on the front and back of their outfit

-  Parents please wait in lobby, viewing window will be covered

-  Students will be given a brief warm up/stretch, then will travel across the floor demonstrating technical skills, and finally learn a routine to be performed in groups of four

- Results of audition will be emailed on (TBA)
